CorayNova maintains a framework for managing, reviewing, and updating its publisher-level policies, tracking versions, and aligning policies with relevant standards. This framework helps keep information consistent across Policies, Resources, journal and article pages, and the CorayNova Journals Platform, supporting transparency, accountability, and trust in both publisher operations and journal-level implementation.

This policy applies to CorayNova publisher-level policies, public resource pages, journal-level policy pages, author instructions, reviewer instructions, editor resources, platform settings, article pages, metadata, and public policy communications.

This policy applies to CorayNova policy owners, editors, editorial offices, technical support, journal teams, institutional partners, societies, authors, reviewers, readers, and website editors involved in maintaining or relying on CorayNova policy information.

Each policy should clearly explain its scope, the people or activities it applies to, the relevant principles and procedures, and how to contact CorayNova about related matters. Where appropriate, policies should identify the standards and guidance that informed their development. Effective dates and last-updated dates should reflect when policies take effect and when their content is revised. CorayNova reviews and updates its policies as needed in response to changes in legal requirements, publishing standards, platform functions, and operational or business arrangements.

Typographical corrections, formatting adjustments, link repairs, and wording improvements that do not alter the policy’s meaning may be made without changing its effective date or last-updated date.

Consistency across information
When a policy changes, related Resources pages, journal and article pages, platform settings, PDF statements, metadata, and public contact details should be checked and updated where relevant.

CorayNova aligns its policy framework with PKP/OJS documentation, COPE, the OA Journals Toolkit, EIFL good-practice guidance, the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, OASPA criteria, Think. Check. Submit., Journal Checker Tool expectations, and Jisc Open Policy Finder considerations.

Policy updates should not be used to obscure prior editorial actions, retroactively justify disputed decisions, or remove accountability for earlier public statements. Where a policy materially changes a process, affected pages should be updated consistently and promptly.
