Reviewers support the quality, credibility, and integrity of scholarly publishing. Their assessments should be independent, constructive, specific, confidential, and proportionate. Reviewer recommendations are advisory; final editorial decisions are made by the relevant journal editor or authorized editorial decision-maker through the journal's approved editorial process.
