Institutional Agreements

Navigation: Resources > For Institutions & LibrariesInstitutional Agreements

This resource sets out CorayNova Academic Press's publisher-level standards for institutional arrangements, publishing cooperation, APC support discussions, training, metadata cooperation, and related institutional partnerships.

Institutional arrangements may be discussed with CorayNova. Any arrangement must preserve editorial independence, transparent publishing standards, responsible communication, and separation between institutional cooperation and academic editorial decisions.

· Scope of Possible Institutional Arrangements

Institutional arrangements may address operational, financial, metadata, training, journal cooperation, or publishing support needs. The scope, eligibility, duration, responsible contacts, reporting expectations, payment arrangements, and public statements should be agreed in writing before implementation.

Possible Arrangement
Possible Scope
APC support
Institutional support for eligible author publication charges, subject to journal policy and agreed eligibility rules.
Discounts
Institutional or partner discounts where agreed, documented, and applied before payment or invoicing.
Waivers
Waiver processes or support routes where agreed and consistent with journal policy.
Publishing partnerships
Cooperation with scholarly societies, research groups, universities, or institutes for responsible journal development.
Journal hosting or cooperation
Operational support through the CorayNova Journals Platform, subject to governance, policy, technical, and editorial requirements.
Metadata support
Coordination on metadata quality, DOI linking, repository records, discovery information, and institutional reporting.
Training and outreach
Workshops, author education, editor or reviewer training, open access information sessions, and responsible publishing support.

· Editorial Independence Safeguard

Institutional arrangements, sponsorship, APCs, discounts, waivers, commercial cooperation, marketing support, hosting arrangements, or partnership discussions do not influence editorial assessment, peer review, acceptance, rejection, revision requests, correction, retraction, expression of concern, article removal, or appeal outcomes.

Academic editorial decisions are made through the relevant journal's editorial process. CorayNova maintains publisher-level oversight for policy, ethics, process quality, legal obligations, platform operation, and responsible record-keeping.

Area
Required Separation
Editorial assessment
Institutional or commercial arrangements must not determine whether a manuscript is sent for review, revised, accepted, or rejected.
Peer review
Reviewer selection, review handling, anonymity model, and decision-making must follow journal policy and editorial judgment.
APC support, discounts, or waivers
Financial support may affect billing but does not affect academic evaluation or publication decisions.
Sponsorship or cooperation
Support for a journal, special issue, platform, or outreach activity must not compromise editorial independence.
Corrections, retractions, and appeals
Post-publication and appeal decisions must follow publication ethics, evidence, policy, and editorial governance.

· How to Discuss an Arrangement

Institutions interested in cooperation, institutional arrangements, publishing partnerships, APC support, discounts, waivers, journal hosting or cooperation, metadata support, or training should contact marketing@coraynova.com. Major institutional cooperation or leadership-level matters may be escalated to executive@coraynova.com. General institutional questions may be sent to info@coraynova.com.

Institutions should include the institution name, department, library or research office, contact person, email, purpose, journal or article where relevant, DOI or URL where relevant, requested action, and proposed timeline.

· Public Statements and Use of CorayNova Materials

Any public statement about an institutional arrangement should be accurate, proportionate, approved where required, and consistent with CorayNova publisher-level policies and the relevant journal information.

Institutional use of CorayNova logos, journal cover images, platform screenshots, or branded materials must follow permission and brand requirements and must not imply endorsement of a third-party product, service, institution, policy position, or viewpoint unless expressly authorized.
