This resource establishes CorayNova Academic Press's reader-facing standards for understanding corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, publisher's notes, editorial notes, and article removal.

Post-publication updates protect the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. Readers should read the original article and any related notice together before citing, sharing, or relying on the article.

· Post-Publication Notice Types

Notice Type	Meaning
Correction	A notice or update used to correct an error that does not undermine the overall reliability of the article.
Retraction	A notice used when serious problems substantially affect the reliability of the article or involve major ethical or research integrity concerns.
Expression of Concern	A notice used when an investigation or assessment is not complete but readers need to be alerted to a serious concern.
Publisher's Note	A publisher-level note used to clarify production, platform, metadata, publication, rights, or administrative matters.
Editorial Note	An editorial notice used to clarify article context, editorial handling, interpretation, or post-publication information.
Article Removal	A limited action used in exceptional circumstances, such as legal, privacy, safety, or serious risk situations, where continued public display may be inappropriate.

 

· Core Standards

A Correction is used to address errors that do not affect the overall reliability of the article. Examples may include limited factual errors, author information, figure labels, metadata, formatting, or other correctable issues.

A Retraction is used when the reliability of the article is seriously affected or when major ethical or research integrity issues require removal of the article from the body of reliable literature.

An Expression of Concern is used when a serious concern exists and an investigation or assessment is not complete, but readers should be alerted while the matter is being evaluated.

· Record Preservation

Retracted article records are normally retained and clearly marked with the retraction status and reason. Maintaining the record helps readers understand the publication history and protects the transparency of the scholarly record.

Except where legal, privacy, safety, or serious risk considerations require article removal or restricted display, CorayNova does not simply delete scholarly records.

· How Readers Should Use Notices

If Readers See	Reader Action
Correction	Read the correction and the article together; cite the corrected article or correction where relevant.
Retraction	Do not rely on the article as valid evidence unless discussing the retraction or the history of the record.
Expression of Concern	Use caution and read the notice together with the article before relying on the findings.
Publisher's Note	Read the note to understand production, platform, metadata, rights, or administrative context.
Editorial Note	Read the note to understand editorial context or post-publication information.
Article Removal	Respect the removal notice or access restriction and contact editorial@coraynova.com for appropriate questions.

 

· Reporting Possible Need for a Notice

Readers who believe an article may require correction, retraction, an expression of concern, an editorial note, a publisher's note, or article removal should contact editorial@coraynova.com or use the Feedback page. Reports should include the article title, journal title, DOI or URL, concern type, specific location, brief explanation, evidence or relevant files where available, and a contact email.
