Navigation: Policies > Editorial Standards & Publication Ethics > Complaints & Appeals Policy
This policy sets out CorayNova Academic Press's standards for receiving, assessing, routing, and responding to complaints and appeals concerning editorial process, publication ethics, peer review, communication, policy application, and post-publication matters.
• Scope
This policy applies to complaints and appeals concerning CorayNova journals, submissions, peer review, editorial decisions, publication ethics, author or reviewer treatment, platform-related editorial workflow, corrections, retractions, article removal, policies, and publisher-level handling.
• Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to authors, reviewers, editors, readers, institutions, societies, libraries, funders, rights holders, complainants, and CorayNova staff or representatives involved in handling complaints or appeals.
• Policy Statement
CorayNova treats complaints and appeals seriously and seeks to handle them fairly, respectfully, confidentially, proportionately, and according to the relevant policy route. CorayNova does not commit to a fixed handling time on this policy page; timing depends on urgency, evidence, confidentiality needs, complexity, policy requirements, legal or privacy considerations, and operational needs.
Specific disagreement with editorial judgment alone is not sufficient for an appeal. An appeal should identify a procedural error, factual error, conflict of interest, ethics issue, or serious scholarly concern that may have affected the decision or handling of the matter.

Complaints or appeals may be raised through the relevant journal's CorayNova Journals Platform discussion route where available, by emailing editorial@coraynova.com, or through the Feedback page. |
|
Information required |
Submitters should provide name/contact email where possible, role, journal title, article title, DOI/URL, concern type, specific location, brief explanation, evidence, supporting files, and requested action. |
|
Initial assessment |
CorayNova identifies the relevant policy route, journal, record, people involved, urgency, confidentiality needs, and available evidence. |
|
Editorial appeals |
Appeals are reviewed for process error, factual error, conflict, ethics issue, or serious scholarly concern. Reviewer disagreement alone is not sufficient. |
|
Secondary review |
Where appropriate, CorayNova may use an editor, adviser, or publisher-designated person who was not involved in the original decision for a secondary review. |
|
Limits |
Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, repetitive, bad-faith, or unsupported submissions may be limited or closed while preserving legitimate concerns. |
|
Outcome |
Possible outcomes include clarification, correction, process review, reassignment, further ethics assessment, appeal closure, policy update, technical fix, or no change where evidence does not support action. |
Complaints and appeals involving serious institutional-level matters may be escalated to executive@coraynova.com. Matters requiring confidentiality, privacy, legal care, or research integrity assessment may be handled with restricted information sharing.
• Contact Route
Complaints and appeals should first be raised through the relevant journal's CorayNova Journals Platform discussion route where available, by emailing editorial@coraynova.com, or through the Feedback page.
